The Custodian ensures that the First Lutheran Church building and grounds are ready and available for the needs of ministries, groups, and staff. This includes working to keep the building and grounds clean and safe, providing exceptional hospitality, and getting people what they need to do the ministry of the church. The part-time Administrative Assistant / Worship Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the church’s office functions while also managing key worship-related tasks. This position requires dependability, flexibility, team playing, strong multitasking abilities, and a very high level of attention to detail. The individual will support church leadership, volunteer ministry teams and oversee the preparation of worship services, and coordinate volunteers while also managing a variety of administrative tasks to include full back-up and coverage for the Office Manager.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD, is currently accepting applications for the position of Faith Community Nurse. This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule and occasional weekend hours. The Faith Community Nurse will work closely with the Pastor of Spiritual Care and the Spiritual Care team to facilitate a whole-person approach to the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of those in our care. We seek to hire a Licensed Registered Nurse with at least three years of nursing experience to work within a large ELCA congregation with an established Faith Community Nursing program. The Visitation Minister will work with a team of clergy and staff leadership to provide spiritual care and support to church members, particularly those who are sick, dying, hospitalized, homebound, and residing in care facilities. This role involves coordinating and conducting visitations, offering communion, and providing pastoral counseling. By extension, this position is to tend to those in need of healing, comfort, and hope, remembering that God “heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).
