Nathalie Fida Lassang has accepted the invitation to serve as the South Dakota Synod’s companion synod coordinator. In this role, Nathalie will work and foster our long-standing relationships with the Lutheran churches in Nicaragua and Cameroon.

Nathalie Fida Lassang was raised in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cameroon, and that is where her passion for service began. The Summer of 2008, the Lord called Nathalie outside of Cameroon to serve as a counselor at camp NeSoDak. Following that summer, Nathalie attended Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota with the help of donations from various Lutheran individuals and congregations across the United States and Canada. Nathalie was a recipient of a generous scholarship from the ELCA’s Global Missions, and that allowed her to obtain a doctorate in Medicine. Nathalie is dedicated to the church and her life’s goal is to serve the Lord Jesus by serving people with the gifts she has been given. She considers her roles as wife and mother her first ministry. Nathalie deems it an honor to have been granted the opportunity to serve the church in this new call.

Welcome Nathalie by sending her a note at companion-synod@sdsynod.org.
