The 2022 Spring Theological Conference will be held in person at the Deadwood Mountain Grand in Deadwood, SD. The theme for the South Dakota Synod’s Spring Theological Retreat, 2022 is “Witnessing the Unseen.” What is happening all around us that we cannot or do not see? For instance, scientist know that trillions of neutrinos from the sun are streaming through your body every second—yet, we are unable to see or detect them. Some things escape our attention because we do not have the capacity to see them.

The conference will feature a keynote from Mike Headley, Executive Director of the Sanford Underground Research Facility. There will also be several breakout sessions with local leaders and a Wednesday evening concert from Eliza Blue.

Lodging is available at the Deadwood Mountain Grand in Deadwood (1906 Deadwood Mountain Drive, Deadwood, SD 57732) and there is a small block of rooms available under the group name “ELCA.” Each registrant is responsible for making lodging arrangements. Call 605-559-0386.
