Thanks to those of you who have made known to your congregation the need for funds to support the Nicaragua Lutheran Youth Retreat. We are hoping for a total of $10,000 to send to continue the work of the Gospel in Nicaragua. At our 2014 Synod Assembly we voted to be supportive of our companion, The Lutheran Church of Nicaragua, Faith and Hope. Please send your designated donations to the SD Synod by November so that we can let the Nicaraguan church know how many youth they can include in their plans for the first week of January. A $90 donation supports one youth to attend the retreat; it is not too late to raise funds for this cause.
