Rev. Bruce M. Williams, former mission developer and senior pastor of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls (1984-2009), passed away on October 25, 2016 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls after a lengthy illness. Bruce was a faithful servant in the South Dakota Synod with forty-six years of parish ministry after being ordained in June of 1967. After a brief retirement in 1999, he and his wife, Karel, then began a ten-year service of interim senior pastor ministry in seven congregations.
Visitation with the family present will be from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, October 28, 2016, at Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 7400 South Minnesota Avenue.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Sanctuary. Pastor Tim Lemme will be the preacher at the service and Pastor Jared Rakness will preside.
