Director of Children’s, Youth, and Family Ministries – Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls

Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls is seeking a Director of Children’s, Youth, and Family Ministries! Administrative Assistant – South Canyon Lutheran Church, Rapid City

South Canyon Lutheran Church is seeking an individual who demonstrates a strong personal faith and belief in God, aligning with the mission and values of the church, and will be committed to serving in a ministry-focused environment. The Church Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of the church’s office functions and in managing key worship-related tasks. This individual will support church leadership and staff, volunteer ministry teams, assist with the preparation of worship services, and coordinate volunteers. This is a 25-hour/week position.

Youth Ministry Director – Trinity Lutheran Church, Mitchell

The Youth Director serves under the direction of the Board of Education, coordinating and implementing its goals and directives for children’s, youth, and family faith formation. Director of Music – East Side Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls

East Side Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a Director of Music, responsible for oversight and coordination of all areas of music, estimated to be 20 hours/week.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Recruit, secure music, rehearse, schedule, and direct the ensembles which include Adult Choir, Celebration Handbell Choir and Youth Choir September through May.
  • Coordinating lay musicians for the summer months (June through August)
  • Choose congregational hymnody and songs in conjunction with the service themes and with the approval of the Pastor.
  • Participate in Staff, Worship Committee, and other needed Meetings.  Participate in periodic staff evaluations.
  • Participate in securing music staff positions and finding substitutes when needed.  Hire extra musicians for special services.

Executive Director – Lutherans Planned Generosity of South Dakota

Lutheran Planned Generosity of South Dakota (LPGSD) is a ministry of the South Dakota Synod (SDS) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We seek to inspire a culture of generosity and philanthropy throughout the South Dakota Synod. We do this by inviting, engaging, and assisting individuals, and churches, to make current and deferred gifts to the Synod, ELCA churches, and affiliated ELCA ministries.

LPGSD is looking for a strategic leader to join our team as Executive Director. The Executive Director role requires an individual who is passionate about philanthropy, and can articulate the LPGSD vision and mission to prospects and donors in a way that both educates and compels them to give. The Executive Director is a full-time employee of LPGSD and reports to the Board. The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization, and is responsible for implementing strategies to increase philanthropy throughout the Synod by cultivating relationships with individuals, churches, and ministry partners. Lead rehearsals, select music (traditional & contemporary), direct performances, and help grow our music ministry. Regional Representative for Central America – ELCA Global Services

This position extends the work of the Global Mission Unit Area Desks to companion churches, institutions, and related partners in a given region and within the framework and vision of accompaniment. The unit’s work is extended through faithful stewardship of the ELCA’s relationships with global companion churches and partners requiring deep engagement and presence in their life and ministries. All job responsibilities are carried out in close collaboration and communication with, and under the direction of, the Area Desk Director.
