Companion Synod Christmas Wishlist

The Companion Synod Committee in the South Dakota Synod has come up with their “Christmas Wishlist” for you to discern on during this Advent season.

1. Put our Companion Synod Missionary Sergio Rios Carillo on your congregations’ budget for next year! (We need about $15,000 per year to provide his salary and travel).
2. Become a visitor and receive visitors from Nicaragua and Cameroon.
3. Consider joining our committee ( we meet 4 Saturday mornings per year, and you would be contacting other congregations in your conference to promote our relationships.
4. We thank you for FULLY FUNDING our $50,000 renovations to Cedro Galan Retreat Center and Farm in 2016. We still need $3000 for the Nicaragua Youth Camp, $5000 for the Green Project Agricultural Development and donations to help receive two women from ILFE to visit South Dakota next summer and attend the Women’s Triennial Gathering in Minneapolis in July 2017 to complete our promises for this year.
5. For Cameroon, we are still in need of $8000 for one more church roof in Cameroon, $4000 for Train Up a Child, and donations to support Congolese Surgeon Dr. Yali in 2017, Reformation Library Donations for the Meiganga Seminary, and we will begin to ask for one Professor’s House and 4 Student houses for the Meiganga Seminary in 2017.
