As ongoing mission Companions with the Lutheran Church of Faith & Hope of Nicaragua (Iglesia Luterana Fe Y Esperanza de Nicaragua – ILFE), all congregations throughout our South Dakota Synod are invited to join in joyful celebration of the 25th Anniversary of ILFE on the last Sunday of July or any other Sunday before the end of this year 2015. July 26, 2015 is the official Sunday ILFE will be engaged in these joyful celebrations but our opportunities to support its mission is an ongoing and year-round priority of our South Dakota Synod. A team from our Synod including Bishop David Zellmer will be personally participating in the joyful celebrations.
The Companion Synods Committee invites all congregations to highlight our shared mission commitments on such Sunday and to make sure that a free will offering is gathered to fund these vital mission needs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Faith & Hope of Nicaragua. A bulletin insert (Color or Greyscale) highlighting these opportunities can be found here. We also encourage congregations to make use of the two Synod Assembly Resolutions regarding the growing mission of the Lutheran Church of Faith & Hope which can be found here, as well.
