Dear Sisters and Brothers –
I continue to hold Senators Rounds and Thune, as well as Rep. Noem, in my prayers as they fight to keep families together as they enter our borders. We are thankful, now, that the President has rescinded the degrading immigration policy that was tearing families apart when they reached our borders.
Today, I call upon our leaders in Congress to work together to pass effective legislation that will keep parents and children together when they come to our borders for a chance to do what is right for their family. For as Jesus said: “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.” (Mark 10:14)
Please join me in continuing to pray for our leaders in congress, the President of the United States, and for all of the families who have been displaced by our government that they may once again be together.
Your brother in Christ,
Bishop David B. Zellmer
