Nominations are open for the 2017 McGovern Hunger Ambassador Award

Schedule
9:30am – Registration
10:00am – Welcome and Keynote Address11:00am – Break
11:15am – Open Space Gatherings #1 (Topics chosen beforehand based on suggestions during registration, led by a facilitator. Attendees can come and go from these conversations as they see fit.)
12:00pm – Empty Bowls Lunch and lunch program (present McGovern Hunger Ambassador Award)
1:00pm – Open Space Gatherings #2
2:00pm – Closing (If an Open Space Gathering is still enjoying conversation, they may continue.)

Keynote Speaker
The Keynote Speaker is M.J. Altman who is the Editorial Director for World Food Program USA. M.J. is also the host and creator of the WFP podcast, Hacking Hunger.

Empty Bowls Lunch
Soup, bread, coffee and water will be served. There’s no cost to attend but there’s a suggested donation of $10 for the Empty Bowls Lunch. Funds will be collected at the door. There will be a credit card reader available. Participants will receive a handmade pottery bowl made by the students at Mitchell High School. Funds raised will go directly to help support the Mitchell Food Pantry.

Travel Scholarships are available through the McGovern Center. Please contact Carly Hubers at cahubers@dwu.edu.
