The Reformation: Observing 500 Years

 In Synod News

As you do your summer planning for next year’s programs, we want to let you know that we are offering a 13 month series for congregations to use as we observe the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.  The series is free and can be used in self-standing parts or as a whole.

The series is for young and old to learn more about Martin Luther and those who followed in his footsteps.  The series gives you options ranging from broad overviews to in-depth study and analysis. You can choose from a variety of resources:

  1. monthly thematic overviews (newsletter inserts) – available September 1
  2. weekly topics (bulletin inserts & short videos) – available September 1
  3. video resources for studying Luther’s Catechism – available September 1
  4. in-depth video series – available now

Watch our promotional video Observing the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation series  as a sample of what the videos will be like.

In addition, watch samples of the videos of Luther’s Small Catechism.  All of the resources are available for download on our website or find/like/friend us on Facebook.  Please sign up on our website under the resource tab if you would like reminder emails when we have a new resource available.

Please see the this document for information about the series as well as a schedule of the topics to be covered in the “Reformation 500” series.
We are grateful for the support of the Lutheran Leadership Foundation which helps us provide this to you for no cost.
