2023 Senior Pastors Retreat

Beginning at 5:00 PM

The Senior Pastor Retreat is a gathering of rostered ministers for education, resource sharing, relationship development with colleagues and synod staff, and time to rest. The retreat will be February 5-7 in Chamberlain, SD, at the Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center. Your room can be booked directly through the hotel, and is a separate cost from registration ($89/night). We look forward to providing this space to gather and support you in your ministry. Please be sure to indicate any food allergies or preferences.

Our Speaker:

Peggy Hahn serves as the Executive Director for LEAD, aligning passionate leaders, resources, and practices to grow Christian leaders who grow faith communities in our world. Peggy is a frequent speaker and author who is never without a pile of books to read and seeks coaches and mentors for herself in an ongoing quest to learn and grow. Peggy is committed to listening to pastors and leaders of all ages for insight into the ways they are growing in their own faith and what LEAD can do to support them in their development as leaders.

Our Chaplain:

Bishop Craig Schweitzer began serving as bishop of the Western ND Synod on September 1, 2020. Prior to serving as bishop, Craig served as senior pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bismarck, ND. He has always seen himself as a pretty easy-going person who seeks to daily discover anew how God is present in his life and in the world in which he lives and serve. Outside of his life as a Bishop, Pastor Craig enjoys reading, all music, a little golf, a cold beverage with friends, and intentional times of quiet. And, of course, spending time with his wife Wendy and their adult twin daughters Ilia and Taegan.
