Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Training

Continuing Education Opportunity.

Session 1: This shared learning opportunity includes large and small group conversations over the course of three hours (including a couple of breaks). The conversations are centered on self-awareness of one’s own cultural narrative; identifying similarities and differences in one’s own and other’s culture; and developing your toolbox and tools to recognize and adapt one’s behavior across cultures.

Session 2: This 1:1 confidential session explores the results of your two IDI assessment reports, invites your questions related to cross-cultural awareness and the IDI, and begins your own personal goal setting related to developing your intercultural competence.

Session 3: Continues the large and small group conversations, with a mindset towards developing personal and organizational intercultural competence as leaders in God’s gospel-centered work. The session includes a view of the Group IDI Profile report, exploration of the IDI Orientation Continuum, and development of learning opportunities and goals.

These three sessions will be facilitated by Karen Gieseke, IDI Qualified Administrator. The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) assessment tool is one of the tools we will engage in during the three sessions. You will be provided with your own IDI assessment code to take the inventory.
