During Synod Assembly, the South Dakota Synod Youth Network will be hosting an assembly lock-in for all youth voting members and youth visitors.

The lock-in begins on Friday, June 2 at Synod Assembly opening worship starting at 9:15 AM. The rest of the lock-in will occur at Our Savior’s Lutheran in Sioux Falls. Lock-in ends at Synod Assembly closing worship on Saturday, June 3.

Youth will get a hands-on experience to witness how the church works at-large. Don’t worry! We have a lot of fun activities planned along the way with games, music, and projects.

Youth that attend will also get to meet Molly Beck Dean, Director of the ELCA Youth Gathering that is coming up in 2018! Read more about Molly and the rest of Synod Assembly by clicking here.

  • Is your congregation sending a youth voting member? If so, by synod constitution, your congregation can send another voting member if it elects to send a youth voting member.
  • We also encourage congregations to register youth as non-voting visitors.
  • Register online by clicking here. Select either to register youth as a voting member ($140 each) or a youth visitor (non-voting member, $65 each).
  • Cost includes meals, breaks, and lodging at Our Savior’s Lutheran.
