In Synod News

We are thrilled to share that the ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program has called 87 young adults into service, beginning in August. Among these 87 newly appointed YAGM, six of them have named a congregation, campus ministry, ELCA camp, or ELCA college/university as a faith home within the South Dakota Synod. They are:

  • Lexy Johnson – American Lutheran Church in Webster, SD., NESO in Webster, SD, She will be serving in Australia, and you can reach her at lajohnson14@0Ie.augie.edu.
  • Lindsay Boehmer – Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD, Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. NeSoDak Bible Camp in Waubay, SD. She wili be serving in Cambodia, and you can reach her at laboehmer12@gmail.com.
  • Michelle Olson – Outlaw Ranch in Custer, SD. She will be serving in Southern Africa, and you can reach her at OIso.6499@d.umn.edu.
  • Sarah Kocher – Augustana Chapel of the Reconciliation in Sioux Falls, SD. She will be serving in the United Kingdom, and you can reach her at sakocher12@0Ie.augie.edu.
  • Tim Gabriel- Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, He will be serving in Mexico, and you can reach him at timothyggabriel@gmail.com.
