On Tuesday, September 5, Pastor Karen Soli underwent major surgery in Sioux Falls for breast cancer. She is a breast cancer survivor from a somewhat lesser threat ten years ago and this greater cancer menace was identified through a routine mammogram. She is now at home recovering from surgery and will begin chemotherapy in a few weeks. Pastor Soli will continue her work as a Capital Campaign Services Consultant with the ELCA at a reduced level, and plans to take part in the 2018 Legislative Session (she is a third term Representative) following sixteen weeks of chemotherapy. She will undergo radiation treatment after the session is complete.
